Leicester Tiger Thomas Waldrom has replaced Northampton Saint Phil Dowson on the England bench for the second Test against South Africa at Coca Cola (Ellis) Park.
Waldrom won man of the match earlier this week against the South African Barbarians South after he scored two tries and helped to create at least one more.
Dowson is suffering from a tight hamstring sustained in training yesterday and after medical assessment last night it was decided to withdraw him from the match 22.
New Zealand born Waldrom who qualifies to play for England through his grandmother will wear No 19.
