Western Province coach Allister Coetzee has named his team to take on the Golden Lions in the Currie Cup at Newlands this Saturday afternoon.

Damian de Allende moves into the starting team at wing as Gio Aplon is out injured for the next fortnight with a grade one ligament strain. Pat Howard provides cover off the bench.

Tyrone Holmes starts at 7, following his one-week ban. Don Armand thus returns to lock as Wilhelm van der Sluys drops to the wood.

Berton Klaasen provides cover on the bench for the injured Gary van Aswegen.
