Reds Super Rugby captain Will Genia has revealed that there is a doubt of his Wallabies team mate Kurtley Beale for this weekend's match between the Reds and the Rebels.
Beale could miss his Rebels team's clash against the current Super Rugby champions the Reds this weekend due to a rib injury from playing against Wales for the Wallabies at the weekend.
Beale missed Rebels training on Monday but club officials say that they expect him to be able to play this weekend against the Reds.
"Hopefully he doesn't play, I think he's hurt his ribs," Wallabies halfback Genia told AAP.
"It was early on in the game but he toughed it out and continued so we'll wait and see if he's going to be out there in Melbourne."
Beale played for the Rebels at five-eighth before the Super Rugby break but the Reds are expecting him to play at fullback if he is fit to play.
The Rebels did get some good news on Monday as James O'Connor participated in full training on Monday and Reds coach Ewen McKenzie has tipped him to return from his lacerated liver injury at five-eighth.
Reds star Quade Cooper is hoping to play this weekend and is waiting for the results from a hamstring test but McKenzie expects him and under-20 flanker Liam Gill (head knock) to pass tests.
