Reds fly half Quade Cooper participation in the Reds play off is in doubt after he was cited for a dangerous tackle on Berrick Barnes in the Reds 38-24 victory over the Waratahs on Saturday.

Cooper was cited for alleged foul play and contravened Law 10.4 (e) Dangerous Tackling when he tackled Waratahs player Berrick Barnes, making contact above the line of the shoulders of the opposing player.

The incident occurred in the 63rd minute of the match between the Reds and Waratahs at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Saturday the 14th July 2012.

The Referee for the match: Steve Walsh issued a Yellow and White Card for the incident.

Upon further review of the match footage the Citing Commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the Red Card threshold for foul play

The Citing is to be considered in the first instance by SANZAR Duty Judicial Officer Nicholas Davidson QC.
