Reds playmaker Quade Cooper has ruled out an appeal against his one week ban for a high tackle on Waratahs star Berrick Barnes last weekend.
Cooper was given a one week ban after a marathon four hour SANZAR hearing on Monday and Queensland Rugby Union chairman Rod McCall said that they would talk to SANZAR before appealing.
However Cooper has now revealed on Twitter that he will not be apealing the ban.
"I won't be appealing the 1 match suspension as I don't want to be a distraction to the teams prep. "
"That's all......don't forget I love u all," Cooper said.
Later Cooper said in response to a NZ fan that he was hoping to play the Chiefs next weekend, "Hopefully be in nz next week."
The Reds are expected to name Ben Lucas in Cooper's place and the last time the Reds fielded Lucas in Cooper's place they beat the Chiefs 42-27.
