The Southern Kings have added to their playing stocks for the 2013 Super Rugby season with three new signings including Argentina scrumhalf Nicolas Vergallo.

The Kings have confirmed with EWN Sport that they have also signed Lions hooker Bandise Maku and Blues utility back Hadleigh Parkes.

The Union's president Cheeky Watson has confirmed that former Springbok hooker Maku will leave the Lions to play for the Kings.

"They bring wonderful experience. Bandise's played at the highest level and is coming back home," Watson told EWN Sport.

"Vergallo, we've seen him play for Argentina so I think he'll add tremendous value to the Kings."

"And Hadleigh Parkes has played for the Blues, which will also add much value to the Kings."

The Kings have replaced the Lions for the 2013 Super Rugby season and were created to develop local talent in the Eastern Cape.
